Afternoon Meditation

Any time you can take time out of the day for yourself for meditation is beneficial. If you don’t have time to fit it in first thing in the morning, taking a few minutes in the afternoon is a great option too. It is always best to try to meditate at the same time each day so you can add it into your daily routine.

Having said that, you don’t have to sit still to benefit from meditation. Try going for a 10-15 minute walk focusing on the breath and listening to the sounds around you to help stay grounded.

Some people enjoy meditating in the afternoon because they experience an energy slump midday and meditation can help them refocus.

Just remember, you are taking time out of the day for yourself so you’ll want to fit meditation in where it best fits in with your schedule and lifestyle. No matter what time of day you choose to meditate, you’ll benefit from feeling calmer and mentally more restored.
